Photos taken of Harriet Gillet in her studio for her upcoming solo show If Paris Was a Woman. Harriet Gillett draws inspiration from the idea of the contemporary flâneur, an observer who moves through the city with curiosity and slowness. The exhibition captures the spirit of timeless urban settings: cafés, theatres, side streets, and rooms where lives unfold and overlap. Many renowned Soho institutions inspired the work, becoming portals into a dream-like cityscape where observation, documentation and memory intertwine through the artist’s unique lens of magical realism.
